The road winds and twists
through the tree-clad ravine
and I ask, through the mists:
"Am I sure I have been
through these mountains before?
Have my eyes set their sight
on these hills, to explore
their enchanted delight?"
Though I treaded this path so many a-time,
the road to Jerusalem looked never like this.
For never before was the arduous climb
seen through the mem'ry of your magical kiss.
